Open the Transactions tab in the UI and click the "Failed" transactions icon to open the BTC revert modal.
2
Enter BTC Destination Address
In the revert modal, review the on-screen instructions. In the input field labeled "Enter your bitcoin destination address", enter the Bitcoin address where you want the reverted funds sent. This must be a valid Bitcoin address that you control.
3
Review the Signing Payload
After entering the destination address, the modal generates a payload to be signed. This payload encodes the revert request details, including the transaction hash and destination, and must be signed with the original EVM-based Hyperliquid destination wallet and the new Bitcoin wallet you are reverting to before the request can be submitted.
4
Sign with Your Wallets
Click Sign with Ethereum Wallet to sign with your EVM address, and Sign with Xverse Wallet to sign with your BTC address. These signatures proves you control the original Hyperliquid destination wallet (the EVM address that was linked to the deposit that failed) and the Bitcoin destination address from Step 2. After signing, both signatures statuses should update.
Note: Currently, for the Bitcoin signature, you must use the Xverse wallet.
5
Submit Revert Request
Once both signatures show as complete, the signed request is ready. Submit the revert in the UI.
6
Confirm Submission Success and Verify Return of Funds
Track the revert status from the UI transaction state and verify return of funds. Processing depends on Bitcoin network confirmation time.
Common Errors
If your revert did not process, consider the following:
Valid Destination Address:Verify the destination address is a valid Bitcoin address.
EVM Signature:Confirm you signed with the correct EVM wallet (it must be the one linked to the original Hyperliquid destination wallet).
BTC Signature: Confirm you signed with a wallet that controls the Bitcoin destination address you entered.
